Mail Art News #70: March 14, 2024

the work of Greg Diaz on nonlocalvariable.art

Reminder: Nonlocal Variable has documented hundreds of pieces of incoming and outgoing mail. Take a look at nonlocalvariable.art. As you may recall, Mail Art News #69 was about sexual / sensual mail art, and we have a couple of late comers, so I'm including them here in Mail Art News #70.

incoming from T. Warner

incoming from T. Warner (reverse)

Tom Warner has been hooking us up with the mail and the links. Here's a link to an article he wrote about tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE in 2012!

incoming from Jimmy C

The above image does look like some kind of body parts, so we'll go with it.

incoming from Monster A Go-Go

Well, it says Fanny and it's about a brothel, so ok...we'll use it.

A couple more incoming mail arts, non-erotic ones. Are radishes sexy?

incoming from Mick Boyle

incoming from Ricky Long

Now that we got that out of our system, we can take a look at some images from Instagram and IUOMA:

  1. It's a real shame it took the post office almost two weeks to deliver a postcard across town. A real suspicious shame...I wonder why they held onto it so long...

    1. There were no stains on it, even under UV light. We'll never know what caused the delay.

  2. Hello. Sorry it wasn't more "erotic." That's just not my thing. Thank you for bothering to post it anyway. You certainly didn't have to. I'm glad I caught your post. I've probably missed several. CHEERS!

  3. Hmm. I just checked back to see if I had seen this issue or not. I know I had...and felt sure I had left a comment, too. Weird. I must be doing something wrong (which would be NO SURPRISE at all...) Keep up the swell work and thank you for including my silly envelope (although it is far from erotic...). CHEERS!
