Mail Art News #30: The Mail Art Must Flow

outgoing promotional material, arrived in Italy, 5/2023

In Dune, it was "The spice must flow." Here at Mail Art News, one could say: "The Mail Art Must Flow." At any rate, Cristiano Pallara informs me via Instagram message that my mail has arrived in Italy.

Venturing into the blogosphere, you can see a nice assortment of mail art blogs. I know there must be more out there, but only so many show up with the Google search, so if you have a blog or know of a blog dedicated to mail art, send it my way. I can add it to the blogroll.

I'm a fan of Joey Patrickt's work. Here's a sample of his mail art work and then a screenshot of the collages on his blog. Does he mail the collages out? If so, they'd be mail art!

Speaking of monsters, and heading over to IUOMA,

Maxima Strange has received a "monster of unknown origin from Seattle" and Mail Art News is on the case (wink, wink).

Jean-Philippe Gilliot shares incoming art from Rosemarie Drews. This one is calling out for someone to write an analysis of possible meanings...or a micro science fiction story. I will have to revisit this one later. The collages of Joey Patrickt are also calling to me...may need to start writing fiction blogposts  based on some of the collages I see out there in the Mail Art Dimension.

And I'll close with this image from Melissa Wand, at least that's what I saved the file name as ("melissa wand"). I think I saw it on IUOMA. The file date is March 9, 2023, which is pre-Mail Art News, but I often do save interesting images from the internet.

That's all for now, but there's always more mail art happening out there.
