Mail Art News #4: 100 Months of Mail Art (and still going)

LuEllen Joy Miller-Giera is the admin for two groups on Facebook. The first, PlanetCollage.net can be considered mail art related if the collages are mailed. Within the category of Image-based mail art, as opposed to Text-based mail, one of the main sub-categories is collage. Since I enjoy trying to make sense of the assembled components, I'm a fan of the genre. What reactions do you have and what meanings do you get from viewing the collage below, which is currently the group header image (April 3, 2023)?

In 2014, after curating an international exchange of postcard sized collages for one hundred months, LuEllen then started a monthly international collaged playing card exchange, which brings us to the second Facebook group, Monthly International Collaged Playing Card Exchange MICPCE, This group is 100% mail art related because the entire reason for the group is to document the exchange of altered playing cards. Examples are below.

So if you're interested in collages or exchanging altered playing cards, visit one or both groups and hit the join button. Also on Instagram: planetcollage and playingcardexchangemicpce
